The best bit about my job is watching women become healthier, happier and more confident in their bodies. My own personal fertility issues, low body confidence, and turning 40 were the reasons I dived into Women’s hormonal health & fitness coaching. It set me off on a journey of self-discovery to optimise my own health, learning how to optimise my hormones, understanding the best movement for women after the age of 35 and which food specifically can be the catalyst to getting results in your 30’s and 40’s . It certainly changed mine! I’m a busy proud mummy of two, and I am passionate about passing this knowledge on to empower other women to achieve health & vitality in order to create Happy hormones, success and confidence in all areas of their lives. I approached Michelle because I was desperately needing help with my Fertility, Tender Breasts and sleep problems. The Dutch Hormone testing process was really easy and I found the information extremely motivating and gave me a lot of answers on where to focus on to improve my symptoms and work on my fertility. I am starting fertility treatment want to be in the best physical and mental shape so that I have the best chance of success. Michelle has been brilliant and very positive and supportive. She looked at my diet and made me a personalised plan with some great suggestions and recipes. It has given me the confidence to mindfully think about what I’m eating to make sure I nourish my body. I have dramatically cut down on processed sugar and have introduced more pulses and beans etc and am feeling really good. I consciously try and include a wide variety of foods throughout the day rather than just always eating the same things. Diet chances have also really improved my eczema. I’ve also upped my exercise as well and am feeling really positive. The changes I have made have had a knock-on effect on my family and we are all eating better. Thanks Michelle!
I have been coming to Michelle’s Strong Mamas classes for several months during my maternity leave - both when they were live at the Carpenter’s Arms and now online through Zoom. I always enjoy the sessions - great bunch of other mums and really nice sense of community, plus I always ached at the end so knew it was working! My fitness and strength has improved and Michelle is great at focusing on individual technique, which has been really helpful, even in there online classes. I would recommend the Strong Mamas classes!
I started going to Michelle’s classes since my baby was 6 weeks old and he is now 6 months. I have lost all my baby weight and can attribute that to Michelle’s classes and advice. Her classes are really enjoyable as she adapts the class to your level and how far post natal you are. She makes sure that you start back to exercise in a safe way and have the right technique as well as making it more challenging when you are ready. What are you waiting for? Training with Michelle is varied, fun and most importantly, always enjoyable - so much better (whatever the weather!) than being stuck in a gym doing the same old routines. Michelle works hard to make sure no two sessions are the same and that they're always well put together. Michelle's also full of great information and advice on diet and nutrition - this coupled with her training sessions, continually produces fantastic all round results. I've always tried to stay healthy and stick to exercising but Michelle's sessions are the first thing that have genuinely held my attention and pushed me to achieve gradually more and more through exercise. I have trained with Michelle since 2012 when I was training for my first marathon and without her I would not have got through it especially as I had never run before and did not exercise much then. She helped me build the right muscle groups and is always motivational. Over the years working out with her, I really enjoy training now and it has become a big part of my life. I was an International Netball Umpire for 6 years, training regularly either by myself or with various personal trainers. In 2014 I was fortunate enough to be appointed to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and I knew I needed to be even more focused and work particularly on training that was relevant to my sport. I was introduced to Michelle and can honestly say it was the best thing that could have happened. Michelle listened, reviewed, and tailored my workouts to achieve my specific goals. Her friendly, motivational, easy going personality had me working harder than I thought possible. My fitness increased noticeably, and all the hard work paid off – I was then invited to Netball World Cup the following year in Sydney.
Michelle has been my personal trainer for many years now (since around 2012/13 I think), which speaks for itself. I started PT as I had been diagnosed with osteoporosis and wanted to build up bone as well as muscle. Michelle has definitely helped me with that- my last bone scan showed that I am now no longer in the osteoporosis range. Happy to report I do not need to take any medication. Michelle makes training fun and pushes me to exactly the right extent. The training is really varied so I don’t get bored and includes TRX and boxing. Michelle is deeply knowledgeable about diet and fitness in general and caring in a holistic way. We have a laugh, but she makes sure I work hard! I would highly recommend Michelle.

This wasn’t the usual spiel about carbs, proteins and fats, but a far more in depth talk about being smarter about what foods to choose, relative portions and their health benefits” "I had already decided that I wanted to make changes to my diet, especially with regards to smart food choices for when I'm short on time, but also when I can get the opportunity to batch cook in advance. I have never been to such a clear and easy to understand nutritional workshop. Michelle’s approach was perfect for any audience but the level of her expertise and knowledge was obvious. An engaging and fun lunchtime activity where no question was too out there or difficult to answer, I think everyone left feeling really confident in themselves
